Jan and the kids visited with us for the weekend.  We all met up in Oxnard for a Pirate Cruise.

The next day was beach day.  It was a bit foggy for most of the day, but that didn’t stop us.  It was comfortably warm and the kids had a great time.  Max and Nathan took the new (replacement) kayak out on their own.  It was a rough start but successful in the end.

Someone else had a rough start at the beach, but was able to recover gracefully and successfully. 

Emily and Lucy had a great time playing make-believe, or as we say in our home: ‘imaginating’

Auntie Jan didn’t want to go out in the kayak, but she took up the challenge and we had one of the best times.  We saw seals and a pod of dolphins that would swim back and forth under our kayak.  I had Max’s GoPro and tried to swim with them, but they didn’t want anything to do with me. 🙂
