Our First Real Field Trip!

Well, sure we’ve gone to the zoo and the like, but we did something really cool this time! Max and I (Lucy being cared for my sister Kelly) went to see a play in Thousand Oaks – “Watt is Electricity.” Now of course my five-year-old didn’t understand everything, but he was interested and entertained. It was a one man show of a ‘science guy’ who had big machines on stage that made various forms of electricity. We had a super time at the show, and getting our muffin and (my) coffee at the neat new shopping area next to the theatre complex. We ended our fun time with a trip by Daddy’s work and a quick bite to eat. I really am enjoying this homeschooley thing – praise God. 🙂

Our Daughter, the Potty Mouth

Oh my – Lucy says ‘truck’, ‘duck’ and ‘frog’ – but you guessed it, it sounds just like the F- word. I’m just really hoping she doesn’t belt it out in the store or something. 🙂

Our Blazing Hot February

Craziness! For a couple of days in mid-February, it was almost 90 degrees here. It was so warm that we broke out the kiddie pool. Max as you can see had a super time – and Lucy finally got in (with all her clothes on). The day was finished with some half-nekked bike riding. 🙂

Oh Lady of Perpetual Infection

Well, Lucy is finishing her 3rd ear infection in 3 months. My pediatrian told me to go see an ear, nose and throat doc now – to check her out and see what we can do. It’d be super nice not to have to get ‘tubes’ but we’ll see. Please pray – thanks. 🙂

Um, As I Speak

The ‘work crew’ (Matt, Pop) are drilling with a really LOUD jackhammer under the house. More specifically, right under where Lucy is taking a nap. It seems that if it is not too crazy loud when she is falling asleep, then she can sleep through this really loud stuff! I am flabbergasted and oh so praising the Lord right now. I know this could change at any time – but I’m just so grateful for the nap she got amidst some MAJOR noise.
