Man, we are really enjoying our kids! And the neat thing is – they are enjoying each other. Sure Max can get in Lucy’s face and Lucy can mess up his creations, but most of the time they are having fun playing. He invented ‘horsey rides’ where she rides on his back and they crash. He came up with this sand-bucket-hat idea (they were being ‘iron workers’ says he) today in the yard. What fun – Praise the Lord! And Happy Father’s Day! (we’d frame this one except for the lovely scabby thing on Max’s forehead) (does anyone remember Devo?)

‘Straw-babies’ (her favorite fruit second to bananas) ‘Skuu-key’ (Scuse me) ‘Uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco’ (the nursery church gals taught her this on her hand. Now her thumb is forever ‘cinco’!) ‘You okay Loosey?’ (what she says to herself when she falls down) She knows her colors, how to count to 10, and her shapes. Max really only wanted to run around at age 2! It’s the girl thing. 🙂

Which also was in May – ah well! We’re so lucky that they bring their own bedroom with them (in their little RV). They stayed during Matt’s absence at his FL conference, which was a great big help. We had great times, including cousin Chelsea’s nursing school graduation (complete with lots of other family too), a trip to the Reagan Museum and Disneyland. Well, she was actually 2 on May 10, but you know, life is a little nuts! (Especially right this minute with a backhoe in the yard!) We had a super party at Jan and Jeff’s – a great co-celebration with cousin Nathan (3 days Lucy’s elder). We’re enjoying our sweet girl so much – she’s an amazing smart, funny and animated gift from God. 🙂 Toby and Lucy How do I get this stuff off?
