Max is 6!

Boy – I sure can’t believe that this big boy was in my tummy 6 whole years ago! He’s just such a total joy – thank you Lord. 🙂 Enjoy the pics!

Cute Lucy with her Dad

“Am Uh Banggin On My Drwum!”

This dear funny Lucy – her largest sentence to date is “I’m banging on my drum!” or “Am Uh Banggin on my Drwum!” I have no idea where she got it or heard it – but she picks up just about anything to be the drum or the banger, and says it with great glee. On the not so fun side – her 2 year molars are coming in HARD. We were up a lot last night, and she’s exhausted (me too). Today her normally 3 hour nap was 1 hour (I’m hoping to sneak another one in) and she woke up sweaty and screaming in pain. She won’t let me leave the room – crying and oh-so-upset. There are 2 volcanos about to erupt in the back of her mouth; I can’t believe how swollen they are.

What does that Tooth Fairy do?

Max was excited that one of his bottom teeth is loose. I said, “What happens when the tooth comes out?” He said jubilantly, “You put the tooth under your bed and they give you a blanket!”

Trip to Oregon

Max and I had a wonderful trip to Oregon to see family. Our pressing reason to go was to spend time with my grandmother, Cena, who was ill (since then she is feeling better – praise the Lord). It was pure joy and ease to fly out of SB and go straight to Portland. The five days were a super time with just my firstborn – such a treat really! Mom and Don graciously accommodated me and their active grandson in their house. My aunts Glenda and Bonnie were also there, and we had neat family dinners just about every night. Max and I went to the Oregon Zoo (free with my SB pass – yea! and so neat!), blueberry picking at a blueberry farm, and a Target where he spent his own $8.00 on a toy (a 25 minute pondering experience). It was a really great time.
