Max Birthday – Moved up

Due to some last minute scheduling conflicts, Max’s sleepover birthday party was moved up a week to a Wednesday night.  Being that we had a newborn, it was not ideal, but we made do.

I took the boys to a Santa Barbara Forester’s baseball game (win over the Conjeo Oaks, 7-5).  They chased down enough foul balls to each have one to get signed by the Forester players.

Once at home, they had a great time playing Wii and staying up too late.

Max Birthday – Early Present

Recently, Max had told Toby that he was just not into pirates any more and wanted a new bed spread / comforter.  Since Gran had hand made the pirate comforter, Toby asked Gran if it would be possible to make a different slip cover while Gran was visiting.

Gran took Max to the fabric store and he picked out the fabric that he wanted for the new comforter cover.  Gran had a project and in just a few days, she made a beautiful new cover as a birthday present for Max.  Thanks Gran, great job!

Ro’s First Pediatrician Office Visit

Toby, Max and Ro are at the Pediatrician’s office now.  Lucy and I are at home.  5 minutes before we were going to walk to the office, Lucy said her tummy hurt and started barfing, so I got to stay home.

I think she ate too much at lunch.  We set up her sleeping bag near the bathroom.  She fell asleep in less than 1 minute.

Below is a picture of her post-vomit recuperation.

Kids at Poppa & YaYa’s house

Poppa and YaYa were very generous in taking Max and Lucy for 5 days last week.  They also had Katie, Rich, Abbie and Alex staying with them, so it was a full house.  Of course, any summer stay at Poppa and YaYa’s would not be complete without a trip to Auntie Jan’s pool.

While they were with the Grandparents, the boys (Poppa, Rich, Max, Alex) were able to attend a Dodger’s game.

The tickets Poppa had were in the ‘all you can eat’ section.  “For fans that can’t get enough Dodger baseball and great ballpark fare, the All-You-Can-Eat Pavilion provides the ultimate value at the Stadium with unlimited Dodger Dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn and soft drinks for fans to enjoy during the game.”  Max said he had 2 Dodger Dogs, 2 nachos and 2 sodas, and was still hungry.  Yikes!

Although a bit blurry, you can see Max’s excitement.  I wonder if Alex was pulling for the SF Giants.
