On Wednesday, our group of homeschool kindergartners and siblings enjoyed a very thorough and snack-filled tour of the new Whole Foods store in Santa Barbara. My favorite part was when we met the meat guy, who showed us an entire lamb leg and told us about how bison meat is lean like chicken. Later he asked, ‘are there any more questions?’ One boy (not sure who) piped up with, ‘do you think we will win the Gulf War?’ He laughed and was quite surprised; said ‘I’m sure we will.’

Who would have known that Whole Foods could incorporate history as well?
